
Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW)
Accidents can happen anywhere, at any time – whether in the office, on a construction site, in a warehouse, or at a public event. That’s why the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is an essential, one-day qualification that empowers individuals to take immediate action when faced with a medical emergency.

How long does it last?
An Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is valid for 3 years.
Course Prerequisites
Every candidate attending a First Aid at Work course must be 16 years of age at the time of taking the assessment.

No prior first aid knowledge or experience is required
Course Content

Managing an emergency and assessing a casualty

Performing CPR and using an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Assisting someone who is choking, bleeding, or in shock

Treating minor injuries, burns, sprains, and more

Understanding the responsibilities of a workplace first aider
How will I be assessed?
The EFAW is assessed through demonstration of competence throughout the course itself. The assessment should determine the learners ability to act safely, promptly and effectively when an emergency occurs at work and how to deal with the casualty.
