The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS)'s NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is internationally recognised.

The Level 3 First Aid at Work Qualification equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses.

This three-day course covers a range of CPR and first aid skills, providing you with the skills to ensure a safe working environment.

NRASTC is a supervision and rescue award for swimming teachers, coaches and (or) instructors working during programmed activities, such as swimming lessons.

 

PLEASE NOTE This award is only suitable when the facility has staff qualified as lifeguards or first aiders who can respond quickly to a swimming teacher or coach in an emergency. If a lifeguard or first aid backup is unavailable, the standard NRASTC should be used

NRASTC is a supervision and rescue award for swimming teachers, coaches and (or) instructors working during programmed activities, such as swimming lessons. It is suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools where the water depth is higher than the teachers’ standing depth and meets the individual facility’s Risk Assessment.

This course develops your knowledge, skills and abilities as an assistant swimming teacher. It will enable you to actively support a qualified swimming teacher in the delivery of a planned learn to swim session

This qualification consists of both practical and theory elements. It builds on the knowledge gained at Level 1 to provide learners with the skills and experience to plan, deliver and evaluate swimming lessons so that they can teach independently in an aquatic environment.

The Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) Qualification was developed by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) to address the role of open water lifeguards and the needs of open water operators. 

The OWL qualification can be used to supervise and provide rescue cover for planned, organised and risk assessed activities in still, non-tidal water.
